Handcrafted Vibes Hit the adidas Superstar Beaded “Core Black”

Could 2025 be the year of the Superstar? Possibly. After checking out the Minecraft collab last week, we’re now getting up close with the adidas Superstar Beaded “Core Black.” At first glance, it seems like just another classic colourway, but as soon as you take a closer look, you’ll immediately realise that there’s more than meets the eye.

Working on top of a slick “Core Black” leather upper, this Superstar is equipped with the iconic Trefoil heel badge around the back and the legendary Shelltoe up front. Cotton laces tie everything together, and all of this rests on top of a comfortable rubber midsole. So far, so normal.

But, wait! The sidewalls are covered in hundreds and hundreds of little beads. These have apparently all been done by hand, and it’s a homage to traditional craftsmanship. All of this then comes packed in a special edition adidas shoebox that was made exclusively for this drop.
