The Air Jordan 1 High OG ’85 “Bred” Finally Has a Release Date

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 12 months, you’d know that this year is going to be a huge year for Jordan Brand. 2025 marks 40 years since Michael Jordan and Nike first linked up, and to celebrate this momentous anniversary, we’ll be getting a series of huge re-releases, including the Air Jordan 1 High OG ’85 “Bred.”

Considered by many to be the greatest Air Jordan 1 ever made, the iconic “Bred” features a full leather construction. If you’re wondering where its name comes from, it’s actually a mash-up of “Black” and “Red,” which are the main colours on the legendary sneaker.

Perforations hit the toebox, and a Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls. The mythical winged basketball logo is stamped on the collar, and all of this rests on top of a white midsole that’s infused with Air tech for unrivalled comfort and cushioning. While the “Bred” has returned before, most notably in 2015 for Jordan Brand’s 30th birthday, this will be a one-to-one remake of the original. This means its materials and shape will be completely identical to the OG.

As if that wasn’t enough, each pair will come in a special edition shoebox that was made exclusively for this release. This is packed with additional laces, a throwback hangtag, as well as special paper that echoes the 1985 release, making it the ultimate trainer for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

If you want the Air Jordan 1 High OG ’85 “Bred” in your rotation this season, you need to listen up. Launching on February 14th, it’s expected to be extremely rare, so be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
