And to celebrate Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary, the sneaker is finally getting its flowers with special releases like the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined.” Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the “Black Metallic” originally debuted in 1990, and if you didn’t manage to secure it back in the day, now’s your chance.

Featuring a buttery “Black” nubuck construction, the “Black Metallic” is a true icon. Mesh panels hit the lateral and medial sidewalls, while the oversized tongue is awash with a “Silver Metallic” finish. You’ll also find the Jumpman logo here. This has been embroidered in a fiery red that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.

Underfoot, the midsole is infused with Nike‘s critically acclaimed Air tech, and it’s detailed with sharktooth graphics across the sides that are actually inspired by fighter jets from World War II. The sole is then lined with an icy blue outsole, just like the OG from back in the day.
