The CLOT x adidas Superstar “Chinese New Year” Brings in the Good Vibes

CLOT and adidas have been going all-out this year. And by the looks of things, the power duo are set to continue their legendary link-up with the upcoming CLOT x adidas Superstar “Chinese New Year.” Celebrating the biggest event in the lunar calendar, while this might not be Edison Chen’s first take on the Superstar, it might just be his best one to date.

Painted in a stealthy “Core Black” colourway, this sneaker is decked out in all kinds of premium materials including leather and suede. Embossed patterns inspired by the Chinese zodiac subtly cover the upper, and the Three Stripes are detailed with a snakeskin-like texture, nodding to the Year of the Snake.

Adding to the festive theme, red tassel charms hang from the laces, representing happiness and prosperity. Shiny gold tones extend to the adidas logo on the tongue and star on the heel, symbolising good fortune and longevity. Rounding it all off is the chunky midsole underfoot. Featured a serrated look for added grip and traction, this unique design was first introduced by CLOT earlier this year.
