The JJJJound x adidas Samba “Tobacco” Keeps it Simple and Sophisticated

Following the release of the critically-acclaimed “Core Black” and “Off-White” versions earlier this year, Justin Saunders and adidas are back, and this time they’ve got the JJJJound x adidas Samba “Tobacco” with them. Unlike the previous two colourways that stuck to the classic monochromatic formula, this one feels a lot more dressed up.

First teased all the way back in 2022, the sneaker community has been waiting almost two years for this Samba to hit shelves. Made from a premium hairy suede construction, it’s dipped in an earthy “Mesa” hue and contrasted with darker accents across the sockliner, resulting in a beautiful vintage aesthetic. The Three Stripes and heel badge are both decked out in a buttery soft nubuck, and a pair of cotton laces tie everything together.

JJJJound’s logo is debossed along the lateral sidewall in luxurious gold foil, and all of this rests on top of a grippy gum rubber outsole. While it looks wildly-different compared to the aforementioned “Core Black” and “Off-White,” it’s worth nothing that this has also been meticulously crafted in Germany. All of this then comes packed in a special edition shoebox, which was designed specifically for this exclusive collaboration.
