A real eye-catcher, the Air Jordan 1 KO x Billie Eilish will stand out anywhere. It’s been a few years since singer and songwriter Billie Eilish joined Jordan Brand. In 2021 Nike released this shoe as official collaboration, the Air Jordan 1 KO and the Air Jordan 15 were both involved.

There are some unanswered questions about the Air Jordan 1 KO. First of all, the meaning of the “KO” acronym remains unconfirmed even until now. Some claim that it stands for “knock out” as a reference to boxing rings and their canvas floors, but also may be an indication towards the knock out look of the shoe.

They first landed in 1986 with four colourways. They were then stored in the vault for 25 years before re-releasing once again.

Air Jordan 1 KO generally feature an entire canvas upper. With a leather Swoosh and a dangling ankle collar that replaces the Jumpman Wings logo with the “AJKO” label.

The sole takes the same traction pattern from the Nike Vandal. Which also features multiple concentric patterns on the forefoot and the heel.

The Air Jordan 1 KO returned in 2011 and has had more re-releases since then.

This 2021 version gives the AJKO its biggest makeover yet. Designed by Billie Eilish this sneaker appears in an all-Volt accent.

Although most AJKO’s are finished in the usual canvas material, this Air Jordan KO appears in a synthetic leather finish. Billie Eilish herself revealed that the sneakers in her collab are 100% vegan and contain 20% recycled content. Great for environmentally conscious sneakerheads.

Padded lines on the midsection run down to the rear. It’s definitely a nod to Eilish’s dress style, as she generally wears thick, oversized clothing.

Her Blohsh symbol adorns the tongue, while the sockliner spells out her name “Billie Eilish”.

This creps drops in a women’s size run. Released around the final week of September 2021 on the Nike SNKRS Pass, expect collectors and Billie Eilish fans to try and cop a pair.
