The Nike Dunk takes on a whole new form once again with the Nike Dunk Scrap. This Nike Dunk Scrap “Wolf Grey” sports a rather relaxed combination of hues compared to the previous colourways.
Unveiled in 2021, the Nike Dunk Scrap reimagines the Nike Dunk Low with a new upper structure. It takes inspiration from the shoemaker’s cutting room floors, as seen on the Dunk Scrap’s patchwork aesthetic. Mesh also makes its way to the classic hoops icon in this rendition. Nubuck and leather reinforce the rest of the upper. Floating wings similar to the Jordan 4 appears for a more personalised style.
Introduced in 1985, the Nike Dunk is Nike’s premier basketball sneaker meant for the collegiate hoops scene. The “Be True To Your School” campaign brought out Nike Dunks donning their school colours. It’s also highly similar to the Air Jordan 1 – both of which feature the same outsole.
The shoe features a leather upper and a thick rubber sole. The Nike Dunk became popular beyond basketball that skateboarders who rocked the model eventually got their own silhouette in 2002: the Nike SB Dunk.
Because of the overwhelming love and appreciation for the shoe. The Nike Dunk continues to arrive in old and new flavours.
With loads of releases in 2021 alone, the Nike Dunk brings another Nike Dunk Scrap featuring a more durable ripstop mesh.
The Nike Dunk Scrap “Wolf Grey” combines Grey and Black with Volt accents on the stitching and forefoot overlay. Grey ripstop mesh appears on the quarter, tongue, and heel. Grey leather panels on the vamp and the lining keep the consistency of the colourway.
Black pebbled leather panels on the toe, eyestay, and rear provide the external structure of the shoe.
The “NIKE” nubuck heel panel features alternating Grey and Black pigments.
Expect these to be another highly anticipated release as Nike rolls out more Nike Dunks this season.
